Don't miss this!

The Nubanusit Co-op has graciously extended an invitation to other NH libraries to attend their June co-op meeting, held on Monday, June 11th at 10 am at the Mt Caesar Union Library in Swanzey. Jessamyn West will be speaking about the new Web 2.0 technologies and how we can use them to provide better library services. If you have no idea what MySpace is, or how RSS can make your life easier, here’s the talk for you – and if you are looking for ways to apply these technologies to your libraries, this is the talk for you, too. Jessamyn is an excellent speaker -- it was her talk at NELA that inspired me to get the NHAIS and Book Notes NH blogs going -- and it is well worth the trip to Swanzey to hear what she has to say.

If you plan to attend be sure to RSVP to Caddie Gregory at Mt Caesar. Her email is mtcaesar@ne.rr.com or her phone number is 357-0456.

NHU-PAC searching down May 21 1:40pm

Monday, May 21, 1:40 p.m.: NHU-PAC searching is temporarily out of service. Keyword searches result in an "unable to retrieve results" message while browse searches yield an "unable to retrieve data" message. We are working on restoring searching functions.
[This was fixed around 2:45 p.m.]

Brief NHU-PAC outage Monday morning May 21

Monday, May 21: There will be a brief interruption of NHU-PAC searching starting at 9:20 a.m. to bring our searching indexes up to date. This outage should last no more than 5 minutes.

NHU-PAC Survey

Our survey of NHU-PAC users is now closed. Thanks to everyone who participated. We're now compiling results from the nearly 400 completed surveys that were submitted.

An initial review of survey results will be presented May 17 at the NHLA/NHEMA spring conference in Bretton Woods. The "Shaping the Next NHU-PAC" session will also allow attendees a further chance to comment on what they'd like to see in the NHU-PAC.

This fall a NHAIS committee will be sending a request for proposals to vendors seeking to provide a system which will run the next generation of the NHU-PAC. The committee plans to see vendor demonstrations early next year and to select a system early in spring 2008.

Lost Book List for April 2007

From Donna at Rochester PL:
We sent Chesley Memorial a book back in March, they never received.
Remember me to Harold Square YA Danziger

From Marilyn at Jaffrey PL:
Newfields PL kindly lent us the book Baby Talk by Monica Beyer at the end of February. It is not on the shelf at their library and has never arrived here, so we’re wondering if it’s lost somewhere in vanland. Could everyone please check their shelves? (Sorry I can’t supply a call # as Newfields computer has crashed, but it’s about sign language for babies). Thanks so much for checking!

From Denise (Greenland):
Could everyone please check their shelves for Meredith Public Library's copy of Lucia Lucia by Adriana Trigiani? It left Greenland but never made it to Meredith.

To add an item to the next lost book list send it to Mary Cronin.
