A message from the NH State Data Coordinator
This is Tim Rohe, your new State
Data Coordinator. I just wanted to let everyone know that we will be
starting the federal Public Library Survey next week! Sorry to remain in
the shadows for so long; we have switched to a new vendor this year, Counting
Opinions, and I wanted to do my best to make the survey as user friendly as
possible before going live. I take full credit for anything you like
about the new software and will blame the vendor for anything you don’t like. J
We will be conducting a training
webinar with Ryan Patrick of Counting Opinions to go over the new software,
called LibPAS, on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 2 pm. If you are not able to view
it live, don’t worry; we will be recording it and make it available online as
soon as possible. We will be sending out your login information shortly
as well. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns that
you might have at any time at timothy.rohe@dncr.nh.gov
or 271-2060.
For those of you who also
participate in the Public Library Association’s survey, the Public Library Data
Service (PLDS), there is an added bonus of switching to Counting
Opinions. Since the PLDS uses the same software, your data from the
federal survey will automatically be transferred over. This means that
you won’t have to reenter data into the PLDS and it should take significantly
less time to complete!
Again, I appreciate everyone’s
patience and cooperation with the survey! The deadline for submission is
Friday, March 16. I’m here to help, if you need it. I look forward
to working with you all over the coming weeks.
