Just a reminder that the New Hampshire State Library is open on November 2nd (Election Day), and the van drivers will be making deliveries that day. If you will be closed that day, and the van driver does not have access to your library, please either let the driver know or call (271-2206) or e-mail me (Diana.Decota@dcr.nh.gov ) and I will tell the driver to skip your library that day.
Thank you,
Diana DeCota

This is a second "gentle" reminder...before I get out the sledgehammer. For those of you who know you have the NHAIS Database update form but just haven't gotten around to it, please return it to me as soon as possible whether there are changes or not (and marked appropriately). They will be placed in your library's file along with your member registration, etc.
For those of you who can't remember if you've received, filled out and returned the form, don't worry, I'll come knocking on your email door (with hammer?) just to remind you personally.
I have promised to complete this project by the end of November, but I cannot do so without your help. If you have any questions you can email me. Please remember, this is not for the Online Library Directory, but for the NHAIS Membership Directory, two separate databases.

Tuesday, October 12: Enhanced content (cover images, reviews, first-chapter excerpts, tables of contents, etc.) which should display when viewing an individual record in the NHU-PAC is temporarily unavailable. We're working to restore this feature.

Do you want to know which NH library had the most children attend their programs in 2009?
Which library answered over 90,000 reference questions during the year?
Do you need to find out how many photocopiers (or PCs, or employees, or videos) libraries serving communities of a particular population size have?
Answers to these questions and many more are available to you -- and to the public -- in the 2009 Public Library Annual Report which is now available in Excel spreadsheets for your viewing and use on the State Library's website at http://www.nh.gov/nhsl/lds/2009Statistics.html

Is there a NELA Conference registration form in a pile somewhere in your office?
You know, the one you were going to fill out and send in when you had a minute.
Well today is the day to dig it out and get it sent because if it is postmarked by tomorrow you will still get the early registration rate.
The 2010 New England Library Association Annual Conference will be held October 17 – 19, 2010 at the Holiday Inn in Boxborough, Massachusetts. Join your colleagues from across the region for this exciting educational and networking event and learn how to work "Outside the Box" to meet today's challenges for your library.
