Moo-PAC change
This message is for catalogers who use the Moo-PAC as a Z39.50 target (not the standalone NHU-PAC target).
Because of a change being made to the State Library's own catalog (not the NHU-PAC) to accommodate cybersecurity measures, settings for the Moo-PAC need to be updated. It's just one teeny-tiny change: the database name (sometimes listed as the database ID) needs to have a "2" added to the end.
(The view above is from the MarcEdit Z39.50/SRU Client. The Z39.50 setting screen in your ILS may look a little different.)
For now, both "nhunionstatezip" and "nhunionstatezip2" will work as database names. That will change in a few weeks when "nhunionstatezip" will stop working. If you have the Moo-PAC configured as a Z39.50 target, you should update the database name now.
The Moo-PAC was introduced in April as an additional option for catalogers looking to download free MARC records. It allows you to search both the NHU-PAC and the State Library's own catalog (known in-house as Moose) as a single Z39.50 target. See Options for Downloading MARC Records from NHAIS for more information.
