Possible NHU-PAC outage Thursday morning

Further discussion with a SirsiDynix technician indicates a greater likelihood that the NHU-PAC's main server may be taken offline Thursday morning while hardware is changed. Although not absolutely necessary, the shutdown would speed system recovery if there's an error with the disk swap. A decision will be made after consulting with the Sun Microsystems technician who'll be installing the hardware. We won't be able to give much, if any, notice so be prepared for a lack of NHU-PAC searching for 10 or 15 minutes sometime between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 17.
