Important NHU-PAC Holdings Maintenance change

Attention, catalogers: the maximum number of records that can be used when adding or removing holdings in a batch in NHU-PAC Holdings Maintenance has been changed from 30 to 20.  This only affects use of the Click Here buttons pictured here (as they used to look):

There is no change if you use the Add Holding or Delete Holding buttons in Holdings Maintenance to change holdings on individual records.

NHAIS Services is investigating reports from users that holdings have not been added or deleted for all records in a list in spite of receiving a "Thank you" message.  We're still testing to find the exact cause but one possible problem involves the average length of bibliographic records these days being larger than when this system was implemented a decade ago.  For that reason, we've changed the number of records you can have in a list for use with the batch add/delete functions to between 2 and 20 (inclusive).

If you're using the batch functions with the new size limits and still find that your NHU-PAC holdings haven't been added or deleted as expected, please send details to NHAIS Services.  A copy of the "Holdings have been added for the following Records: 2702592, 2707539..." information would be particularly useful.  Also let us know if you have any questions about this change.
