Brief NHU-PAC outage Tue 3/26 7:35am

NHU-PAC servers will be restarted Tuesday morning, March 26, starting around 7:35 a.m.  The NHU-PAC should be back online in about 10 minutes, except that Holdings Maintenance sometimes takes a few extra minutes to be restored.  Also, there will be a brief interruption of the ILL program starting at 9 a.m. and lasting no more than a minute.

Although there have been other interruptions of service, this is the first NHU-PAC server restart since February 11.  It marks a return to our last-Tuesday-of-the-month server restart schedule, the one noted on our Known Issues page.  Starting at the end of last August, we had to restart our servers (and consequently take the NHU-PAC offline) on a nearly weekly basis.  It took months of changing settings and seeing what happened the following Monday or Tuesday but SirsiDynix finally got to the right combination that has the NHU-PAC back on track with less downtime.
