FInding contacts in the NHAIS ILL System
Did you know you can find ILL contact information inside the NHAIS ILL System? If you're looking at the detail screen for search results, you can click on the holding locations to get more information.
In the window that pops up, you may need to scroll up or down a page to see the ILL contact name, phone number, and e-mail address. What if you want to search the library info without looking for a book? Look in your Quick Link list (reached via the heart icon or F9) for Search Library Information...
...or go to Staff Dashboard > ILL Admin > Search Library Information.
You'll see these search options:For Consortium: You won't find anything here--consortium information isn't entered in the profiles being searched.
For Library Code: Use the 6-character location code--it's the old 4-character HSA code with "NH" at the start.
For Library Name: Omit the word "library" in your search. You can also use this search for the name of the municipality in which a library is located.
For Library Address: This searches the postal address, including ZIP code, street name, and post office name (which may be different from the name of the town or city in which a library is located).
For Lending Policy: Select a format from the drop-down list and this will show you which libraries have indicated they'll lend that format through ILL. This doesn't tell you whether they actually have materials in that format.
When going this route, you'll get more information than if you clicked on a holding displayed on a search results page. You may need to scroll down several pages to get past the lender list info. You can "shrink" the results slightly by clicking the Hide Empty Fields button but those lender lists will still be there.
For any search that yields multiple libraries, you'll get an intermediary page on which you can click a library name to see details.
Need to update the info displayed? Contact the NHAIS Help Desk via e-mail or phone 603-271-2141. Want to change which formats you'll lend? Follow instructions on the lending policy form.
