Request Manager oddities Wed 7/31

Wednesday, July 31, 11:40 a.m.: Auto-Graphics reported late yesterday "Engineering deployed several patches to remedy a variety of ILL issues." I spent the morning checking on known issues and haven't seen a difference.

The most significant problem continues to be that several libraries aren't being added to lender lists so those locations aren't seeing any new requests from other libraries. This was supposed to be fixed by one of the patches but I've reported testing that shows otherwise to Auto-Graphics.

Some libraries report seeing requests only for new titles. That's tied to the lender list issue.

In addition to ILL problems noted last week, a new one has been brought to our attention: an exaggerated number of lenders showing as searched when creating a multi-copy request. This doesn't otherwise appear to affect the process of getting multiple copies of a title.

One cataloging issue has come up that affects display of NHU-PAC records in the NHAIS ILL System. In the MARC Display, the OCLC control number should appear in field 001 but the system record ID number shows there instead. If you download the record, the correct OCLC control number is in field 001.

Contact the NHAIS Help Desk (603-271-2141 or nhu-pac@dncr.nh.gov) for further assistance.
