Boxes/suitcases on vans

It was brought to my attention the other day, that some of the libraries are NOT informing us (The State Library ) about boxes, suitcases, and other large objects that need to be picked up by our van drivers. Please give us a call, or send the Circulation Department an email when you know that you will have something other then your bins to be picked up. Space is very limited in our vans, and if a driver has to pick up a suitcase, or a large box at the beginning of his/her route, it could cause a problem, like it might have to wait until another day.

So please be mindful, and just give us heads up.

Thank you,

ILL fixes Tue 8/2

The NHAIS ILL System will be offline for up to 15 minutes starting at 10 o'clock tonight (Tuesday, Aug. 2) to install program updates.

-The calendar used to set a due date for Renewed by Lender status from the status list for requests in Accepted Renewal, Received, or Overdue statuses was not functioning. Staff had to set the new due date for each request by opening the request record. This has been corrected so the lender will be able to apply extended due dates to more than one request from the status list.

-When performing an OCLC number search, the program would attempt to find a match as it does if a word is misspelled and would display something like this:

With this release, OCLC numbers will be treated like ISBNs and other standard number searches: if an exact match isn’t found, the “Zero results” page will display.

-Some drop-down menus could be difficult to read if the color theme had a dark background and were sometimes impossible to read on smaller devices. In order to ensure that the menus with black text are readable, regardless of color theme used, the menus will now have black text on a white background with the selected option shaded. Two places where this will be most noticeable are on the search results page and using the “Sort” or “Group By” drop-downs menus which currently have a purple background.
