NHAIS Notes is a way for the New Hampshire State Library to disseminate information about NHAIS programs and issues. The mission of the New Hampshire Automated Information System (NHAIS) is to promote and improve access to library and information resources for and about New Hampshire. As of May 1, 2010 there were 1,964,093 bibliographic records in the NHU-PAC to which 6,131,275 items were attached. This is an increase of 4,740 bibs and 17,174 items in the past month. That averages out to 150+ bibs and 570+ items every day -- which is why "you never step into the same database twice."
