FAQ: Why can’t I find a title that I know should be in the NHU-PAC?
The database’s indexer occasionally stops working. If you do a keyword search for a subject like dogs or cats and get no results, that’s usually an indication that the indexer needs to be restarted by the NHAIS Services staff. Please call the NHAIS Help Desk at 271-2141 so we can correct the situation, usually in about 5 minutes. If NHAIS Services is closed when you call, you might find the searches on the Browse Indexes subtabs working so you can use them until we can get the keyword searches working again.
