April Deletions are Done
All of the deletions files sent to NHAIS Services in April have now been
processed. If the file you sent had an issue (or if it was the first
one your library had sent) you got an email from me about it. If you
sent us a file in April and you got a message from someone in NHAIS (in
most cases it was Christine) telling you we got your file you can assume
if you didn't hear anything further from us that your deletions have
been processed.
We received 132 files containing 20,425 bib numbers for item deletion in April 2015.
There were 36 files this month that had to be edited to remove extra spaces in the numbers before they could be successfully processed. I did not email every library that had this issue, but there have been files with spaces every month which makes the deletions process take longer than it should. I created a short video on spaces in deletions files which shows how these spaces appear in the files and how to get rid of them. Please take a look at it and make sure your files are not being sent to us with this problem.
