No more 852's in NHU-PAC downloads
Catalogers may be interested to know that the superfluous 852 fields formerly included in record downloads from the NHU-PAC will no longer be present. This only affects OCLC records and applies regardless of the download method employed--a Z39.50 connection or the SHAREit interface's Download Record, Add to Download Cart, or MARC Download from Your List functions. You can identify OCLC records by the presence of field 001, with an OCLC control number starting with the prefix ocm, ocn, or on, as in this display from the MarcEdit Z39.50/SRU Client:
If using the SHAREit interface to search for records, you can also look at the quality ranking, which is readily visible near the top of the MARC Display. If the quality number is 9000 or above, it's an OCLC record:
