Taking back something you "Shipped"

Materials that were set as "Shipped" in the ILL system but did not get picked up from your library before the van service was temporarily suspended can just be left in your bin to go to the borrowing library when things are back to normal.

If you decide you need to take those items out of your bin and return them to your own shelves here is what you need to do in the NHAIS ILL System so the transaction isn't left hanging:

  • Log in with an ILL staff account.
  • Go to the Request Manger. On the "lender" side under "Items Awaiting Trading Partner Response" click on "Shipped" to find the transaction for the retrieved item. (Or you can bring up the transaction by number).
  • Change the status of the transaction from "shipped" to "check in" and submit your change.
  • This transaction will now be in "Complete" status for both you and the borrowing library.
