Change for list archives

Because of storage space issues on the server hosting lists including NHAIS-L, NHAIS-ILL and yardsaleNHAIS, starting next month only messages from the current month and previous 3 months will be stored in the archives. The state Department of Information Technology says this is necessary because of increased traffic on the lists hosted at maillist2.nh.gov.

In recent years, messages from the current year and the previous year have been available in the list archives. Currently messages going back to the last day of December 2018 appear in the archives. As of June 1, archived messages from before March 1 will be deleted. On July 1 any messages from before April 1 will be deleted...and so on.

Here's how the NHAIS-L archives looked on the morning of May 14:

Starting next month you'll see only 4 months listed. You can see in the last column how the size of the monthly archives jumped last October (when the new NHAIS ILL System launched) and in the last 2 months (with COVID-19 concerns). Disregard the December 2018 figure as it reflects only messages sent on the last day of the month.

How do you get at the archives? That's covered in a separate post.

(The NHAIS Notes blog archive goes back to November 2006 and is searchable via the box at the top left of the screen.)
