Borrower/lender e-mail links coming to request displays

Among enhancements being added to the NHAIS ILL System tonight, active borrower and lender e-mail links will now display on all requests with a current lender to facilitate communication between the borrower and lender. Some request statuses do not have a current lender (Awaiting Approval, Cancelled, Complete, Expired, Retry, Unfilled) and you won't see an e-mail link in request displays with those statuses.

The NHAIS ILL System will be offline for about 15 minutes starting just after 10 p.m. today (Thursday, June 4) to allow installation of this new feature. Other enhancements coming tonight:

-Users will now be able to enter a year in either Date field to filter by a single year. Currently, users need to enter the year in both the From and To fields. With this release, a year can be entered into either field to filter on just one year. This change pertains to both post-search facets and Advanced Search filters.

A custom date range entered by the user will override any previously selected decade range.

-The number of holdings will now be included on the Brief display as on the initial results display. Additionally, more locations will be included in the counts. Currently, the number of holdings for results from Z-target locations was only included if there was a mapped status. With this release, holdings from Z-targets for single institutions will be counted even when the status is not mapped. Multi-library catalogs that are Z-targets like GMILCS or Howe/Evergreen are configured differently and already allow holdings count displays.
