Getting MARC records for games

Seen on NHAIS-L recently:

I'm hoping someone may have thoughts on how to catalogue two games donated to our library recently.

 Pictionary Man, ISBN 746775109172

 Ticket to Ride, ISBN 824968717912

Any thoughts on how to properly catalogue these would be greatly appreciated!

Copy cataloging is a lot easier than building from scratch and you'll find that quite a few games are cataloged in the NHU-PAC.

The two games specified aren't part of the NHU-PAC at this writing (although two other editions of Ticket to Ride are in the database) so you'd need to submit information through the online NHAIS MARC Record Request Form. If there's a matching record for your request in OCLC's WorldCat database, it'll be added to the NHU-PAC and available for any NHAIS member library to download for free. Allow up to two weeks for the new record to appear in the NHU-PAC.

There are several options for downloading MARC records from the NHU-PAC and they're covered in a written document as well as a video.
