Counts and stats

After a year of watching counts for Complete or Expired requests go up on your Request Manager screen, you may see some of those numbers going down in the weeks and months to come. The NHAIS ILL System is configured to delete finished requests after they've been in Complete or Expired status for 365 days--and today (October 8) marks one year since the launch of the system. Requests in Cancelled or Unfilled status are automatically changed to Expired status when the need-by date passes and that's when the one-year-until-deletion clock starts ticking.

Even when request records are deleted, associated statistics are retained for a longer period: the current year plus the full two previous calendar years. That means we shouldn't see old statistical data purged until 2021 turns into 2022. On New Year's Eve, the stats will include all of the current year (2021) plus the complete previous two years (2019, when the system was launched, and 2020). On New Year's Day, stats will cover the current year (one day of 2022) plus the complete previous two years (2020 and 2021).
