Jim Weatherbee

Next Thursday (Dec. 16) marks the last run on the southwestern van route for Jim Weatherbee. Here's what NHSL van service coordinator Jill Whitham recently wrote:

"Not everyone here will know this gentleman, probably just the south-west part of the state, but I am talking about the one, the only, Jim Weatherbee!

Jim has been a vital part of the New Hampshire State Library for close to 30 years. He has traveled on days during snow storms when no other van driver would even think about going out to drive a van route, delivering  Inter-Library loans. Not much has stopped him from doing his van routes (except maybe golf), from 90 degree temperatures, to subzero cold, Jim has always gone out and got the job done. I am very proud of this man’s dedicated service to the New Hampshire State Library.

When you see Jim, wish him well.

Happy Retirement Jim! You’ll have lots of time for golf now."

(By the way, there have been a few changes on routes, especially SW, since the online van directories were updated earlier this year. A technical glitch is keeping the listings from being refreshed; the problem is being worked on. Here's the Thursday SW route:

Andover
Grafton
Canaan
Enfield
Etna
Grantham
Springfield
New London
Newbury
Sunapee
Newport
Washington
Hillsborough
Henniker
Weare

The Colby-Sawyer stop, previously on Thursdays, has moved to Tuesday.)
