Fixes to Multi Copy, Advanced Search, non-participant displays coming Thurs 1/20
The NHAIS ILL System will be offline for about 15 minutes tonight (Thursday, Jan. 20) starting at 10 o'clock to install fixes to the program.
-The Multi Copy option will no longer display to users logged in with a cataloging username (ending in "cat"). If you want to create requests for single or multiple copies, be sure you're logged in with a username ending in "ill" or "all."
-When using Advanced Search, “This Exact Phrase” was not returning results from Z-targets (online catalogs in the system besides the NHU-PAC). The search query has been adjusted to correct this problem. Be aware, however, that it's still true that only the NHU-PAC reliably returns Advanced Search results; other catalogs are hit or miss because of differing indexing among Z39.50 servers.
-A handful of Z-targets include holdings of libraries that don't participate in the NHAIS ILL program (mostly in cases where a public library shares a catalog with a school district) but the NHAIS ILL System was showing the availability status (On Shelf/Not on Shelf) for the non-participating locations, which could be misleading. This has been corrected.
-The layout of shipping labels continues to be worked on, including some minor tweaks in tonight's update that won't be visible. Getting the fonts back to where they were involves shrinking the margins, a fix expected to be installed next month.
