Not-Received/Overdue

Last week a number of requests that had been stuck in Not Received status for a long time--a couple of years in some cases--suddenly changed to Not-Received/Overdue. That's thanks to a fix applied to the NHAIS ILL System last Tuesday. When a request has been in Shipped status for more than 3 weeks, it becomes Not Received. Once the due date passes, it changes to Not-Received/Overdue (a step that wasn't happening prior to last week's software update). Requests remain in Not-Received/Overdue status for 2 years unless changed by the borrower.

If borrowers find they actually received the requested material, they should select Received from the status options for the request. Once submitted, the borrower can then select Returned if appropriate.

Borrowers who didn't receive the material in question should get in touch with the lender to check that the material was actually sent. If it's determined that the material is lost, it's the borrower's responsibility to satisfy the lender in whatever way can be worked out. Lost and Received are the only options available when a request is in Not-Received/Overdue status.
