Days Requests are Processed

A recent message on the NHAIS-ILL e-mail list has led a number of NHAIS ILL System users to check their contact info in the system. In the course of looking up the contact info, one puzzling piece of information presented is Days Requests are Processed. Depending on which way you view the information, it lists either every day of the week or every day except Tuesday.

Either way, it's okay. The setting is the same for all libraries and figures into the calculation of due dates and deadline dates. Days to Respond, Days to Supply, and Days to Return are also the same for all libraries. If there's something else that needs updating, like ILL Contact Name or ILL Email, please let the NHAIS Help Desk know via e-mail or phone 603-271-2141.

There are a few ways to view contact information in the NHAIS ILL System. If you click on a holding library (under Where To Find It) in search results, a Holding Detail window will pop up--this is where you'll see Tuesday missing (a known bug). Note that only selected fields in the Library Info tab are maintained in the system. Information in other tabs (Shipping, ILL Acceptance, Copies) is not maintained in the system.

You can also go to Staff Dashboard > ILL Admin > Search Library Information to look up libraries. Your Quick Links list should also include a link to the Search Library Information look-up.
