Intro: Your New State Data Coordinator

Hello everyone,

It’s high time I introduced myself. I’m Jen Finch, the new PLS State Data Coordinator for NH. I started at the NHSL on November 1, 2024, as a reference librarian. Before coming here, I worked for three years at the NH Law Library with Mary Searles. For 20+ years prior to that I was the director of library and research services at a private NH law firm. I’ve worked in academic libraries too, but that was before the turn of the century. 😊

I have much to learn! I’m new to the behind-the-scenes world of public libraries and to the coordination of the Public Library Survey. Earlier this week I attended the annual training for SDCs, and I’m now working with Bobbi Lee Slossar and our vendor to iron out final technical details and data uploads before the survey is opened.

I’m updating my contact information for all our public library directors, and I will send out emails with your login credentials soon. I’ll also be scheduling training webinars about the PLS. I’ll post those dates and times to NHAIS-L.
