Finding your ILL stats

Are you looking for a quick count of ILL activity for your annual report? Your best bet in the NHAIS ILL System is to go to Staff Dashboard > Statistics > Activity and Request Reports. Enter the date range, choose a format (HTML if you just need a glance at your numbers), and select Net Activity. The answer to "Display each site [trading partner] even if statistics are zero?" is entirely up to you (in addition to giving you ILL totals, the report breaks down counts by trading partner).

Once submitted, you'll find the lending and borrowing numbers you need right at the top of the report. "Loans" means returnable requests that were filled while "Copies" means nonreturnable requests (usually photocopies or PDFs of magazine or newspaper articles) that were filled. Numbers under "Net Activity" are calculated by subtracting borrows from loans--a positive number means you sent more ILLs to other libraries than they sent to you.

If you'd like to see details from each request--including title/author and transaction dates--that information is also available at Staff Dashboard > Statistics > Activity and Request Reports. Enter the date range, choose CSV for format, and select Request Records or Lender Response Records. You can select both reports at once and you'll get two separate spreadsheets.

None of the reports under Reports (new) will give you that kind of detail but some will give you something comparable to the Net Activity numbers. To understand the difference between the old and new reports, see a NHAIS Notes post from last year
