Z39.50 MARC record sources

In the wake of BTCat's demise, NHAIS Services continues to talk to vendors, seeking additional options for catalogers to download MARC records.

In the meantime, you can use the Z39.50 Target Directory to find potential sources of records. Not all of what's listed actually works and you'll have to determine for yourself whether these sources meet your needs. To keep results on the Z39.50 Target Directory manageable, we suggest choosing United States for Country and Z39.50 for Protocol. If you leave Type of Library blank, your results will include the catalogs of a lot of colleges. You may want to limit Type of Library to Public or (for schools) Education or (for Library of Congress) National.
