Change to Lending Policy Form
We have updated our Lending Policy Exception form to clarify the situation with Serial records.
If your library chooses not to lend Serials you will not receive requests from the system for copies from those items either. The system determines whether you lend a particular item based on the coding of the record, and a serial record is treated the same for this purpose whether the ILL request is for a returnable loan or a non-returnable (aka copy) request.
If you wish to set specific lending policies for your library and have not yet sent in the form PLEASE use the new form.
NHAIS staff is currently in the process of contacting all the libraries who sent the old form and indicated that they wouldn't lend serials to verify that option.
