Adding Additional Libraries to NHAIS ILL System

When the new NHAIS ILL System went live on October 8, 2019 there were 236 New Hampshire libraries who had completed profiling and were configured to participate. Most of those libraries  also attended training and were able to begin using the new system on the go-live date.

Earlier this week the directors of the 16 libraries who were profiled but did not attend training were notified by email that a Self-guided NHAIS ILL Training Program is now available. We hope that this will allow those libraries to get up to speed on the use of the system and begin participating very soon. The various videos that are part of the self-guided training program should also provide refresher information for library staff that attended the training courses held in September.

Because this training is now available we can also begin the process of adding NH libraries who did not sign up to participate initially as participants in the system.

Here is what you will need to do to get your library set up as a participant in the NHAIS ILL System:

  1.  Print, sign and return to NHSL (on paper) a new NHAIS ILL Agreement by Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
  2. Complete participant profiling surveys (there will be at least 2 for each library) by Wednesday, January 8, 2020. The surveys opened today and are on the ILL System Administration web page where you will also find pdf copies of each survey so you can research your answers before entering them into the online surveys.
  3.  Complete the NHAIS ILL System Self-guided Training and return the signed form to NHAIS Services by Friday, January 24, 2020

Libraries that are able to meet these deadlines should be set up to use the system by the end of January 2020.

The next opportunity to sign up to participate in NHAIS ILL will begin March 2, 2020 and those libraries should be set up to use the system by late April 2020.
