Zeroes and multi-copy, take 2

Tuesday, Oct. 26: Having heard from some libraries that they had success Monday with placing multi-copy requests the normal way, I repeated the test I ran yesterday and found the multi-copy function offered 75 potential lenders where previously it offered none.

That changes the advice given here yesterday. Feel free to try using the multi-copy feature. If it finds enough potential lenders to meet your needs, go ahead and create the request. If it doesn't, hit the Cancel button and send a message to the NHAIS-ILL e-mail list about what you need and when.

Whatever you do, please don't create multiple individual requests for the same item. But if you need a single copy of something, ignore the zeroes you see on the brief view page and submit a request as usual.
