Fix for Conditional requests delayed
One of the NHAIS ILL System fixes scheduled to be implemented Tuesday night (Feb. 15) has been delayed. It's not a circumstance that comes up very often but in the event the terms set by a potential lender in a Conditional request are not accepted or rejected by the borrower within 4 days, the request is supposed to move on to the next location on the lender list. That hasn't been happening--the request would wait for the borrower response until the need-by date passed, at which point the request would be Expired. This was supposed to be fixed Tuesday but instead will be addressed at a later date. Remember that with your NHAIS ILL registration you agree to "check our ILL requests each day the library is open" and to "answer all ILL requests within 24 hours" so requests should never get to that 4th day without a response.
