ILL fixes Tue 4/26
Several fixes will be applied to the NHAIS ILL System tonight (Tuesday, Apr. 26). The system will be offline for up to 15 minutes starting at 10 p.m. while updates are installed.
-Staff at libraries offering patron-initiated requesting were seeing the system hang when trying to override patron request limits. This has been corrected. If preferred, libraries may continue to use the workaround offered in recent weeks, entering a staff username instead of a barcode for a staff-created request.
-When a renewal request becomes overdue before the lender accepts or rejects the renewal, the request will now go into Renew/Overdue status. Prior to this release, the request would go into Overdue status, forcing the borrower to make a second renewal request.
-If the selected search resources (the catalogs searched in the NHAIS ILL System) were changed from the default and a record was added to a list, the resources reverted to the default settings. This has been corrected and selected resources will be “sticky.”
-Searches could hang when using some Safari browsers or Chrome Incognito; it looked like the search was in process but it did not return results. This has been corrected.
-Search results were not displaying properly on mobile devices; the holdings information extended beyond the width of the screen. This has been corrected.
