Reloading NHU-PAC holdings
Does your library have holdings in the NHU-PAC (the union catalog in our ILL system)? If so, has it been more than a year since you added or deleted a holding? Maybe it's time to think about reloading your holdings for the union catalog. This will update the holdings that borrowers in the system see and will cut down on requests you receive for items you've discarded. See instructions on page 2 of the instructions for sending files to add/delete/reload NHU-PAC holdings.
Not sure whether your library has holdings in the NHU-PAC? You don't if your catalog is listed among Z-targets in the NHAIS ILL System (click the stack-o'-pancakes icon to the left of the search box, then you may have to click the arrows to the right of Library Catalogs to expand the list). If you see your own catalog there, you don't need to maintain holdings in the NHU-PAC. Note that if you share a catalog with other libraries as part of a consortium, you should look for the consortium name rather than your library location/name. Still not sure? Contact the NHAIS Help Desk via e-mail or phone 603-271-2141.
