ILL holiday July 4
There are a handful of days each year when it's a good bet that nobody's answering any ILL requests and this coming Thursday (July 4) is one of them. NHAIS Services has picked the 4th of July to experiment with setting all libraries to be on vacation for a single day. The benefit: the holiday will add an extra day to the time lenders have to respond to Pending requests. You can still respond to requests or create new ones on Independence Day, if that's what you really want to do with your holiday.
If this experiment goes well we will be looking at doing this for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day as well.
