Patron ILL logins

This message applies only to libraries that allow patron-initiated requesting in the NHAIS ILL System.

From the NHAIS mailbox:

"One of our ILL super-users contacted me just now to say she can't log into her NHAIS account. I tried her username and password and get an error message: 'Invalid Username or Password.' I tried logging in using my own patron username and password and it worked fine. Can you give me any insight?"

This situation almost always involves an issue with the patron account in the library's ILS. In this case, it turned out that Atriuum had placed a block on the patron account because she had 21 books overdue, with the maximum allowable set to 20. Another cause of login failure would be an expired account that needs to be renewed. SHAREit doesn't store that information--it checks with your ILS every time your patron logs into SHAREit.
